Palmer is one of the few trusted targets by Herbert on the Chargers offense. In the last matchup in 2022 with KC, we saw an almost identical situation unfold. Williams left the game early, and Palmer took virtually all of his snaps. Palmer had 10 targets, 8 catches, 106 yards and 2 touchdowns against the Chiefs defense and played 92% of snaps. Since the Williams injury in week 3, Palmer has yet to have a game below 60 yards receiving.

In order to compete with Kansas City, LA will be forced to throw the ball. In Herbert’s 6 matchups with the Chiefs, he’s averaged over 36 pass attempts per game. I think this maximizes the number of opportunities for Palmer to secure receptions and get over the 50 yard mark.

Good Luck!
